Breathless Skinless Wrought from Iron Walking towards a tunnel of darkness Light was my enemy In search of what we cannot seem to find Marvelous yet sinister We held the fire A fire to burn for eternity Hindered by chains And whipped by ice We marched, we fell, into insanity Calming aurora A Glimmer of Peace In death awaited, A fantasy Shadows that claimed Our souls and lives The witnesses, will never be found Haunted, distorted Images we seek Bleached bones And skeletons On these deserted plains But despair we averted The ground we claimed Onward towards victory From hell we came The blank stare we faced Burned within our minds Immortality we sought And it endeavored to pretend But nothing could we find Our lives flash before us Amidst the darkest hours Time seems to end Haunted Distorted Bleach Bones Skeletons Hellish Screams Uncertainty Arcane terror Left to die For a cause Inhuman cries From below Tainted lives After life Visionary Facing our despair We conquered this façade Once bleak and lonely nights Now filled with glorious light For reward without the risk Counts nothing towards your legacy Amidst these dark ages Time seems to end Lifted above, a specter of observation To observe what we create and destroy And find what brings us to our destination Like Gods of a system, to design and employ Marvelous yet sinister We held the fire A fire to burn for eternity Hindered by chains And whipped by ice We marched, we fell, into insanity Haunted, distorted Images we seek Bleached bones And skeletons On these deserted plains But despair we averted The ground we claimed Onward towards victory From hell we came

As night time nears I close my eyes Slumber brings us back again The truth revealed in a pack of lies Forged from distant memories Entering my thoughts and my mind Scratching at the walls, and my eyes So easy to forget and cast aside My hope for any change at all So easy to become the fear And let the prospect come alive Oh I see the light... Tiny dot in the end of this tunnel Just look away Arise to your name Lay down your axe With outstretched arms Feel the wind flow through And set sail Towards Horizon Upon this cairn I lay my stone In remembrance of what I cannot have A fading image Of what could have been Is It the end…or beginning? And when I said your name Your face appeared Like a ghost, a distant memory A flashing light, life flashed before my eyes And night brought us back again The truth revealed in the sky A now clear vision I began to see Be freed without a sense of guilt The end is only the beginning The tunnel that brought us back again Oh I see the light... Behold mortality, my strongest foe I cannot understand thy nature Who would question the light? A secret of thine Dreamt into being, this darkness cannot prevail Who would question the bright? Darkness shall not succeed Yet his beguilement seduces defeat Casting all rules aside, unwilling to lose In darkness, relentless, I fight for myself In madness, defenseless, seek sanity With wisdom, in gladness, for fear of my sight Arise to reveal a path to paradise What words create, life takes away And reveals the disguise Left here to uncover a secret of yours The fleeting motion, of what we can’t see Shadows hide bleak scars that run deep And yet we all find comfort inside Here beneath our insanity A damaged façade Hiding from the world
Escape this reality Dreamt into being Thus as we speak this fractured litany Our illusions become icons and gods The essence of being denies our fallacies For the axiom of infinity cares not for the awareness of man.
