In this void where hope is hard to find Alone I sit within my mind I lay surrounded by despair Lost without a trace I sit in a cold and empty place Where I can hide myself away Here I stand embraced by darkness Unknown faces all around the place The silent echoes bring their pain It reminds me all my struggle was in vain The lurking shadows in this room Chasing demons blinded by disgrace Beneath the shadow of the gallows Motionless, I firmly hold the rope Don’t let me go / I’m not ready What would it take to keep me here with you? Got a time bomb ticking in my head Erased by time and wasted years Would you ever say my name? Then I wish I could be someone else And I know it’s okay to feel this way The thing is I’m scared as fuck So, I can’t blame anyone Suffocating grasp of madness Let the devil come and take his toll Whispering sins are due to pay Left behind my fate down in a hole A black abyss behind my shoulders Carrying this burden through the eternal cold Trembling fingers scratch the surface I write this letter to whom it may concern Don’t let me go / I’m not ready What would it take to keep me here with you?
