Pools of Sorrow ~ Waves of Joy
Your mother always told you It doesn't matter boy Cause we are all the same And then she used to hold you In the waves of joy But life is not a game When you're out there on your own With no one at your side And you're feeling all alone You're all alone That's when you find out Nobody wants you Nobody needs you Nobody feeds you On the wrong side of the street When you're a stranger You are in danger On the wrong side of the street And then as you grow older You kinda learn to fight It's the only way you know And as the nights grow colder You've got to survive And the anger starts to grow When you're out there on your own With no one at your side And you're feeling all alone You're all alone That's when you find out Nobody wants you Nobody needs you Nobody feeds you On the wrong side of the street When you're a stranger You are in danger On the wrong side of the street You tried so hard to please her It was all in vain The prison gates have closed now If only you could ease her Ease her of the pain Cause that's where it hurts the most When you're out there on your own With no one at your side And you're feeling all alone You're all alone That's when you find out Nobody wants you Nobody needs you Nobody feeds you On the wrong side of the street When you're a stranger You are in danger On the wrong side of the street

I still remember that song All the words we knew When it started we would Sing the whole night through We shared a place together And our records too Crazy characters That's me and you Let me tell you! I had so much fun But the teenage days are gone But the feeling never ends And we'll remain the best of friends! No, you didn't care How your looks could be It made the people turn their Heads around to see When the evening came So did the magic sound Let the neighbors know "Jean Jeanie" is around! Let me tell you! I had so much fun But the teenage days are gone But the feeling never ends And we'll remain the best of friends! Life has a way of changing And so did you So respectable Who could believe it's true? Hey, it doesn't matter What the others think Next time "the boys are back in town" We'll have a drink Let me tell you! I had so much fun But the teenage days are gone But the feeling never ends And we'll remain the best of friends! The teenage days are gone But the feeling never ends And we'll remain the best of friends

Nobody knew the future was ours to hold Seer of visions, or teller of lies? What could he do when destiny was foretold You could see the anguish in his eyes Get down crescendo! Haunted by fear and dreaming of things to come A computer-age, and nuclear wars Shadows appear but where are they comin' from? And he can't make them go away Get down crescendo! Nobody cared they treated him like a fool Whenever he spoke, people turned away Then they got scared what if it would be true? The bringer of evil had to die Get down crescendo! He knew it was time he stood on the brink of fame His powers were growing, his message would be shared Killed in his prime nobody knew his name His life, a crescendo that never peaked He will always be known as Poor crescendo capture the rainbow Embrace the colours, and gather the sunbeams Poor crescendo let your tears flow Come sail away, on an ocean of dreams

You had all you wanted At least that's what they told you But all you ever wanted Was someone to care for you And so they left you And sent you away To a place so far from home Where all the children like to play So why? Did you cry yourself to sleep? Nobody loved you At least that's how you felt it You tried so hard to make the others Notice you were there Unlike a lady You make them look your way And all the boys were chasing you They liked the "games" you playеd But still you cried yourself to sleep But now it's over At lеast that's how I planned it And if I had my way I'd turn those nightmares into dreams Can you hear the wind blow? I can hear it all If you listen very hard There'll be an answer to your call I'm right here don't cry yourself to sleep Oh no, you don't have to No you don't have to cry yourself to sleep

On that day at the break of dawn Her mother died when she was born Her father has blamed her, it was really sad He found a new woman, they had a little boy He got all the affection that she never had no no no Little miss understood She ain't no beauty but she looks quite good Underneath that pink disguise Little miss understood She's the shame of the neighborhood If they would only realize In front of all the kids at school She knew she had to play it cool To get the attention she was craving for She wore a real tight dress And with an air as if she couldn't care less She was walking the streets like never before Oh no no no no Little miss understood She ain't no beauty but she looks quite good Underneath that pink disguise Little miss understood She's the shame of the neighborhood If they would only realize If they would only realize! She left home still under-age And got caught in a golden cage He said he'd take care of her Well in a way he did Ah he really thought that his love was true And so she did what he told her to do It was love for money, and money for love no no no Little miss understood She didn't behave like a little girl should She's living her life like it's a game Little miss understood She'd like to change if she only could But she will always be the same Little miss understood She ain't no beauty but she looks quite good Underneath that pink disguise Little miss understood She's the shame of the neighborhood If they would only realize If they would only realize!

I hear a voice from the past And my heart is beating fast And everything around me fades away I still can't believe it's true Tell me why did it have to be you Imagine you were here with us today Yes I know, you were a dreamer But your dreams have taken shape And when it's all too much I escape I escape now babe, let me escape I heard the news, it couldn't be worse And all across the universe People came together over you We're gonna have to carry that weight The way you met your terrible fate That day in the life when the bullets flew Yes I know, you were a dreamer But your dreams have taken shape And when it''s all too much I escape I escape now babe, let me escape All you were saying Was give peace a chance And when you were playing You made everybody dance You want a revolution? Well all you need is love And all I wanna do is listen to you That's how I escape Late at night, begin December Came a shock we will all remember It must have been about thirteen years ago You shine on ùike a star You move the hands on my guitar And while it gently weeps, the tears will flow Yes I know, you were a dreamer But your dreams have taken shape And when it''s all too much I escape I escape now babe, let me escape

Hey you country girl You look so hot you'd make a straight hair curl You've got everything it takes, oh no To make my skin crawl, a tear-drop fall Whatever I want she's got it all I can't help it I'm in love love love! With a country girl I'm a city boy You don't seem to be impressed Could it be the way I'm dressed It doesn't matter much to me, oh no So if you want I'll just deny my roots Ride a horse and wear cowboy-boots I'll do anything for love love love And a country girl Could it be you don't want me baby You don't care at all? The way you push them cows around It drives me up the wall I even thought about movin' To Mеmphis Tennessee Tell mе are you lonesome babe Don't be cruel to me! My country girl I'm a city boy And after all I must admit You looked okay, but you smelled like shit! I won't have anything to do with you So now I'll never watch John Wayne again Throw my Dylan's in the garbage-can Don't you ever fall in love love love Could it be you don't want me baby You don't care at all? The way you push them cows around It drives me up the wall I even thought about movin' To Memphis Tennessee Tell me are you lonesome babe Don't be cruel to me! My country girl I'm a city boy

Life is slow, but love is fast Live without a care Take your time and make it last There's magic everywhere Summer's in the air The nights are cool in St. Tropez And like a millionaire Get outta bed and face the day In an easy chair Summer's in the air People dine on wine and cheese But you are unaware As you enjoy the sultry breeze Blowing through your hair Summer's in the air My love, where would I be If you were not there You and me and the sun and the sea It's way beyond compare Summer's in the air

Tears fall from the jester's eyes No sound as the old man dies Gather round on scared ground The king has gone Trumpets sound from the castle walls There's no sun, a hard rain falls Men where killed and blood was spilled In the days of the knights Hot steel; burning oil Brave men defended their soil Children cried while fathers died The law of the land Rejoice now the battle is won All rise for the king his son Times were rough but the men were tough In the days of knights She's charmed by a magic smell In a place where the spirits dwell The knight will ride and the stars will guide To the princess bride On his quest for the demon land The wizards dies by the hero's hand Evil rules in the eyes of the fools In the days of the knights

The earth moved, the water ran free Then lightning struck We both knew it was meant to be So we tried our luck There was so much love, there was so much pain In those stormy years If I could just go back and do it all again I'd take away your fears Oh do you feel the way I do? When the stars come out at night There's always you Oh do you feel the same pain too? Now the scars have almost healed I know it's true I'm not over you Now you've gone and left a space That's so hard to fill I hope for you, you have found your place And I guеss I will There's so many doubts going through my mind Is this the way that it should bе? People say that love is blind Well I cannot see Oh do you feel the way I do? When the stars come out at night There's always you Oh do you feel the same pain too? Now the scars have almost healed I know it's true I'm not over you

Look in the mirror And tell me what you see A pretty face but tears in your eyes You keep on dreaming And let your mind go free Out in the night, you wander the skies; come on! Bring on the dancers Let's have a night on the town Night-time romancers We're gonna have a night on the town Your heart is pounding The clock is much too slow All fired up and ready to go Your luck is changing It's finally coming true You've got it all, they're waiting for you; come on! Bring on the dancers Let's have a night on the town Night-time romancers We're gonna have a night on the town Out in the dance floor The music takes control Close your eyes and let yourself go Your blood is rushing Into your heart and soul Free yourself, don't ever say no, no! Bring on the dancers Let's have a night on the town Night-time romancers We're gonna have a night on the town

Baby you know I ain't lettin' you go So whatever you say I'm gonna make you stay Baby is it true, did you find someone new I couldn't take it anymore if you'd walk out that door Well I ain't got nothing to say to you And I don't know what I should do But our love keeps slippin' away I'm a-losin' you Well I ain't got nothing to give to you And I taught you all that I knew But our love keeps slippin' away I'm a-losin' you Baby it's hard I'm falling apart Don't you leave me behind I'm a-losin' my mind Well I ain't got nothing to say to you And I don't know what I should do But our love keeps slippin' away I'm a-losin' you Well I ain't got nothing to give to you And I taught you all that I knew But our love keeps slippin' away I'm a-losin' you I'd give all that I own, just to get you alone Just a moment with you, if that could be true But you push me away, you wanna call it a day And that feeling inside, I could never hide Well I ain't got nothing to say to you And I don't know what I should do But our love keeps slippin' away I'm a-losin' you Well I ain't got nothing to give to you And I taught you all that I knew But our lovе keeps slippin' away I'm a-losin' you

My daddy was a gambler He gambled with his life He didn't give a damn about his wife So she left him in the night time While hiding from the rain I was born on the midnight train Grew up a desperado Grew hair on my chest They said I was the terror of the west Well I didn't have no money And I didn't have no brain So I robbed the midnight train Well the sheriff formed a posse, Apaches on my trail He said "hey dude, I'll throw you in my jail" Now I'm sitting here tired To ball and chain I've been caught on the midnight train They made me work the railroad For 16 hours a day I knew I just had to get away (Now) how I pulled it off I still can't explain But I escaped the midnight train Now if you would have been there Aboard the midnight train He was rumored to have died or gone insane Then somebody be smiling No one knew his name But he was born on the midnight train
