Wake now my brother, a new day has begun. Walk with me brother, away from the sun. Nowhere near men yet we're halfway through life. Walk with me brother behold the riches we will find. Inside the mine we'll toil until we die and reaping fortunes we will never know. Inside the mine the spirits are unkind, Heaven's light won't reach, we're on our own. Stay strong my brother, so we have hours yet to go, stifle the pain and the hunger. Millions roam these walls as unfortunate souls. This mountain eats men, one day we may be one of them. Inside the mine evil's redefined, Devil by the name of Tio. Inside the mine to him we sacrifice, hoping for another day to slave away. Dust in our eyes washing the tears aside and lungs crystallize, still we descend. Step by step further from home, inch by inch closer to Hell. Down in this hole where God fears to go. He cannot save us, we pray to a new god below. No hope, no dreams, no future, look into our eyes and you'll see Christ dying. Each step, each breath closer to the end, trapped between two worlds, alive in Purgatory. Dust in our eyes washing the tears aside and lungs crystallize, still we descend. Step by step further from home, inch by inch closer to Hell. Too young to realize what it means to live our lives on borrowed time and the clouds we breathe are silver lined.
