Where Light and Shadows Collide

Fight! The shadow thickening Upon the White City Such armies not witnessed For generations Hordes of darkness Besieged and led by the Witch King of Morgul Commanded by one evil mind One evil thought to destroy the world of men Destroy the world of men Outnumbered army of Gondor Driven back to seek shelter behind the walls of Minas Tirith The shadow of fear in their mind Rain of fire and stones battered their walls Thе Nine on their steeds with wings Like a shapе of despair and death Drove many mad and sent many to their doom The crowned King of Morgul Shattered the great gates of the city Outnumbered army of Gondor Driven back to seek shelter behind the walls of Minas Tirith The shadow of fear in their minds Rain of fire and stones battered their walls But with the dawn hope rekindled The horselords defying death Rode to aid And even the dead ones from Dunharrow Were against the lord of darkness Though by an oath unfulfilled Troops of Morgul Overthrown The Witch King Slain To a man By steel, fire or water All enemies on the battleground Were put to death

The father of dragons Rays of ruby light In anger flashes of red lightning Scarlet and green flames Licked the earth Destroyed all in their path Its might was in the evil spirit that inhabited it Not in the strengths its body though they were huge In fiery wrath it bursted out from Angband's gates To destroy a starled world Slain by a thorn longer and sharper than the axe of Azaghal By a black sword By all the hate a man can carry A blade of dark wrath devoured its guts It felt the sting of death And made a scream that shook the mountains and forеsts But by the poison of black blood And the venom of its last words Thе slayer met his doom Its might was in the evil spirit that inhabited it Not in the strengths its body though they were huge In fiery wrath it bursted out from Angband's gates To destroy a starled world Slain by a thorn longer and sharper than the axe of Azaghal Tales of greatness Tales of sorrow Tales of thousand tears And the death of many

By the flowing waters By the whispering streams By the forests old A tragedy shook the world of men A hate old A saber sharp Cut the flesh Of the sea kings Outnumbered Sorrow and despair landed With a force overwhelming The dark mind commanded The evil army To destroy the ones That vanquished it Surrounded Nowhere to run Surrounded Nowhere to hide Death creeping on every step Every step that could be the last The son of the king Fled with the power of the one But far he didn't get Cause the evil in the ring Called all enemies to realise it And to find its way to the lord of all rings But so fell the son of the king So fell silently the world of men But so fell the son of the king So fell silently the world of men For ages and ages to come Til the world was made new

From east they came To west their hands reached Towards the undying lands Of glory and light eternal But the gates to that place Were forever sealed to them Their days were short And swiftly death carried them Might and strength they held Not as mighty as the firstborn But a menace to the enemy of light Might and strength they held Not as mighty as the firstborn But a menace to the crеator of fear From east they camе To west their hands reached Towards the undying lands Of glory and light eternal Some seduced by the dark ones Forever doomed Some resisted Their days were short But tales of heroism And glory tell of them Might and strength they held Not as mighty as the firstborn But a menace to the enemy of light Might and strength they held Not as mighty as the firstborn But a menace to the creator of fear No one knew where they went after passing away No to the Halls of Mandos like the elven kind Not like the dwarves that go to Aule in their end Some went to serve evil as soulless beings Cloaked in darkness and despair Some never witnessed what was beyond Enslaved to torment light From east they came To west their hands reached Towards the undying lands Of glory and light eternal Swiftly death carried them

A land between Middle-Earth and the Undying Lands The mightiest of all men, the Seakings Their mountains and cities fell The sea arose in wrath So powerful had they become That their might overwhelmed the dark lord Sauron Their mountains and cities fell The sea arose in wrath There Numenor perished and sunk Into the watery abyss End of their world Followed the cataclysm Mankind's fate swept away From the spheres of the mortal

And the Black Gate opens Morannon! The dark gate To the blackest of lands Filled with fire and ash The air is a poisonous fume And death creeps near Morannon! All evil gathering Beasts and foul spirits Preparing for the all-ending war Dark might in his dark tower Commands the enormous army On the other side The last ones to Stand against The forces of Mordor An army outnumbered Laughing at the face of death Only to give more time to the Ringbearer In this place were light an shadow Once again collide The doom of men is near In this land the fate of the future is decided As the Black Gate opens an army unimaginable Springs out with a fierce hate Not by force Not by strength of arms Can this horde be stopped When the strongest falter And the weakest seek for shelter In this hour of the wolves When all hope is lost The forces of darkness crumble And fall with their dark lord

Dark roads of the sky Where only the Valar dwell Where the world ends And where the Night's Door is locked Cold eternity, empty space One who came from there One who was locked Behind the Night's Door Dark One rising in might The one who cast down fear and darkness The father of lies, the twister of all life But who fell and was cast out To the place where the world еnds And where the Night's Door is lockеd The shackles they broke and fell Guarded by horrors unknown But the seeds revived in time And root was not destroyed And that root will always live on In the hearts of the children of Iluvatar

And in the glade a light was seen Of stars and shadows shimmering Immortal maiden elven-wise Long was the way through iron halls and darkling doors And woods of nightshade morrowless Elven-wise dance with me Cold be hand, heart and bone And cold be my sleep under stone Never more I'll wake on a snowy bed Never, 'til the sun fails and the moon is dead In the black winds the stars shall die And still on gold here let them lie 'Til the dark lord lifts his hand Over dead seas and withered land And I'll fly away Where I dwell none can say For into darkness fell my star In Mordor where the shadows are
