Ashes of the Dying
Fueled by the foulness from my poisoned wound â slowly turning to the dark side of the fjord. No return to the daylight. My future is set â sharp axes await. I deal death with an axe and a torch. I see souls as they wander in the bleakness. Behind great trees â and in the deep seas. The past, now, and in the future. The task you gave me when we met still haunts me. The burning oak â sap is dripping, branches creaking and dying. This is the last you will ever hear from me. A silent letter â written in ash on a tomb stone. The wandering souls await my presence. Smoke my ashes and let me be present.

Older than the art of fire The earth breeds all life The wind blows through every tree A storm of wisdom conquers the sea We are the wisdom of the earth New life is born under every full moon The earth craves death to be in bloom Spread all the roots when you've got time Or let the tide wash you out like sand

When there were fire in the woods and it all burned to the ground there was a small lake untouched by the age of men Deeper than the truth you seek the lake dig down in the deep The forces were awoken by the lord of the great star. If they only knew about that place â the world would breathe at a calmer pace. The lake was forgotten by those who survived. An era was over â a new one begun. The forest will come back again wait and you will see. The forgotten lake will create new life to be. The men who survived â never found the lake. Until this day it is still untouched by men.

A burning tree death came screaming from the sky Igniting the old, wise mystery tree As the flames reach higher the devils appear Only one target in their mind Horror, destruction enslave them all What's left of humankind Is only the burning tree Those who fight back against the enemy Devils of the deep darkness will conquer all of earth It started with the burning tree The flames went deeper Until ashes were all you could see The flames went deep What's left of humankind Is only the burning tree Those who fight back against the enemy Devils of the deep darkness will conquer all of earth Who are we to judge their mortality Creatures of the dark live in slavery Their time burns faster as they do wrong I, I know I used to be one What's left of humankind Is only the burning tree Those who fight back against the enemy Devils of the deep darkness will conquer all of earth Only a sapling was left, saved by a child from the roaring inferno.
