Earth and Pillars
Album • 2016
A watcher of Thy spaces make me, A listener at Thy stone, Give to me vision and then wake me Upon Thy mountains alone. Thy rivers’ courses let me follow Where they leap the crags in their flight Where at dusk in caverns hollow They croon to music of the night. Send me far into Thy barren land Where the snow clouds the wild wind drives, Where the ancient firs as guardians stand To protect Thy reign that silent here lies. White pilgrims climb slowly one by one, No moon to brighten (where) Thy footstep goes Blindly trust the summons, ‘till the journey is done Up the pathway that no one knows… Is there a light to gaze? Is there a voice to guide? For the silence is not ours For we long for endless music and warming ancient fires.

Up high, ‘tween ever-growing silver clouds Thy mountains peaks aim to the sky Of snow eternal Thou made a shroud There, where Thy hidden portals rise To wide open highlands rest Where grass and marshes grow lush Fertile whispers of old in Thy chest Purity that gush eternally The vastness of Thy centuries past In stones, vales and mountains forever lasts The face of immortal living statues we gaze Longing for stories they will not tell As they stray in a timeless haze In their silence hides their farewell Alone Thou wanderest through space, Profound One with the hidden face, Thou art Poverty’s great rose, The eternal metamorphose Of gold into the light of the Stars.

Destiny, the doom of time For the passing is crystal Yet the stone here lies. Thy sight, no eyes Feel the spirit beyond its shine Burn like a fire that never dies. For the solemn to Thy yell down bows As Thy voice through the aether flows For the silence of the ages Thou withstand As the sound of Thy chant here descends. All things are long passed away and far A light is shining but a distant star From which it still comes to me Has been dead a thousand years Beneath the sky’s vast dome, I long to prey Of all the stars there must be far away A single star which still exists, apart Alone has endured All space commands ‘Tween white pillars In the high heavens stands.

Thou art the mystic homeless One; Into the world Thou never came, Too mighty Thou, too great to name; Voice of the storms, Song of the wild wind sings, Thou Harp shatters those who play Thy strings! Feral melody, come forth from the stars Cherish me in eternity’s silent waves Through blazing marble altars Ascend to a world beyond Where the pillars rise again, from Thy mind engraved In the temples resounds Thy voice sublime Everything turns to Thee before time.
