Wilt thou go with me, sweet maid, Say, maiden, wilt thou go with me Through the valley-depths of shade, Of night and dark obscurity; Where the path has lost its way, Where the sun forgets the day, Where there's nor life nor light to see, Sweet maiden, wilt thou go with me! Where stones will turn to flooding streams, Where plains will rise like ocean waves, Where life will fade like visioned dreams And mountains darken into caves Say, maiden, wilt thou go with me Through this sad non-identity, Where parents live and are forgot, And sisters live and know us not! Say, maiden; wilt thou go with me In this strange death of life to be, To live in death and be the same, Without this life or home or name, At once to be and not to be - That was and is not yet to see Things pass like shadows, and the sky Above, below, around us lie? Where stones will turn to flooding streams, Where plains will rise like ocean waves, Where life will fade like visioned dreams And mountains darken into caves Say, maiden, wilt thou go with me Through this sad non-identity, Where parents live and are forgot, And sisters live and know us not!

Softly as brown-eyed Angels rove I will return to thy alcove, And glide upon the night to thee, Treading the shadows silently. And when returns the livid morn Thou shalt find all my place forlorn And chilly, till the falling night And I will give to thee, my own, Kisses as icy as the moon, And the caresses of a snake Cold gliding in the thorny brake. Others would rule by tenderness Over thy life and youthfulness, But I would conquer thee by fright!

Satin sunsets, velvet skies, Silken stars, a soft moonrise. Blankets on the soft green grass, Waiting for the night to pass. What is life? What is dream? Tell me… Why I’m here? To pretend? Let it be… Soon to pass - awakening Sun will rise… Laid so deep in the dreams Overcome me Blankets covered, held so tight, Hands entwined throughout the night. Held together, in autumns sleep, Minds that look to the love so deep What is life? What is dream? Tell me… Why I’m here? To pretend? Let it be… Soon to pass - awakening Sun will rise… Laid so deep in the dreams Overcome me The hours that pass, To the hearts sunrise, When the sheets unfold, And awaken the eyes.

Why can't we hear The time must come for us to leave here Emotion has withered away Our burnt out love has decayed Obsessed to leave the earth Tragedy has overrun since birth Now our righteous father's weep As we greet eternal sleep Are we born to pass away Cry at all that remains 'Chosen words' fail to sustain The wisdom of powers heard In dismal thoughts seemingly absurd Now as hope and glory dies We'll scream at our demise Are we lost forever more? Now our righteous father's weep As we greet eternal sleep Are we born to pass away
