Rising From Below the Earth
Something is here
Poisoning the very air i breathe
The voices of the dead have fallen silent
They tremble together in shallow graves

In a most profound mystery
The foul hand of fate did illuminate me
I unearthed texts. I now try to Forget
For those who see what others cant see
their presence is unbearable
Still they cannot fully understand
For into the depths of knowledge could be undone
But what i've seen. I cant take back
To know the presence of the ones
who rise from below the earth

Now every night i feel their stare
A multitude cold lidless eyes
A steady pulse at the back of my mind

Whispered voices from nowhere
Shapeless shadows roam the night
A constant feeling of being watched
Shapeless shadows roam the night
A sudden cold in the room
Shapeless shadows roam the night

Unwelcome gaze has pierced our souls
Ageless terrible hunger awakened

In the outmost void
Beyond our spheres
They gather in mass; Our end draws near
There they'll plot our fail
And soon they'll rise; in corporal form

Whispered voices from nowhere
Shapeless shadows roam the night
A constant feeling of being watched
Shapeless shadows roam the night
A sudden cold in the room
Shapeless shadows roam the night

Hush! Again they are among us
A faint sinister choir, gathering strength
I fear that the time is fast approaching,
One terrible night they'll reach out for us all

You may think me a fool, blinded by fear
But I know what watches us as we sleep
If you could only live one night, through my eyes;
You would greet next dawn a different man
Broken perhaps - marked for sure,
and never once you'd feel alone again...

For each night you'd know they rise;
In silence under ominous skies
out from their realm below our cold and sleeping earth
out from their realm below this cold and dying earth

Thus I must leave all hope behind
Sweet privilege of ignorance

Out from the woods they sprang forth
Axes raised, mouths foaming with rage
Tattooed savage beasts on the hunt
Deranged bloodlust shining in their eyes

Barbarian warriors - Painted with the pentagram
Skulls of enemies - Their grinning trophies of war

They overran the first cities by the next dawn
Raided and burned every house to the ground
Panic broke out as rumous spread
Fleeing, thousands were trampled to death
Worse still the fate of those left behind

No one was left alive
All defences had been utterly crushed
Wave upon wave, they came from the north
to maim, kill and destroy.
Weapons of steel worn out
From cutting and cleaving, through flesh and bone
No quarter given, this nation will burn,
boiling in its own decadent fat.

Then the horde fell upon the great cathedral
Last refuge of leaders and saints

Dragged out the front
The cardinal begged for his miserable life
He knew where others were hidden
Thirty lives sold for a silver coin each
So they left him alive
In vaults underground
With thousands of starving rats
And the head of his king in his hands

Blood, flames, ruins, broken remains
The legacy of this marauding force
Barbarian Assault!
The heavens doth tremble before their might

They all know; A shadow lives out in the woods
But not a word is ever spoken thereof
T'is; an evil of their own design

But denial was a part of a puritan's life,
they would lock their doors and pray to their lord
Though in the end, it was not him who heard them...

Finally one night, the bells tolled doom
The witch rose out from her ancient tomb
All the villagers shuddered in their guilty sleep
Then awoke to the sound of rats in their walls

Frightened they huddled together for warmth
All the lights were lit, swaying in a strange draft
When an eerie change came over their expressions
Apprehension, piety, or a dark hint of lust?

Then as the light flickered and died
They started to turn
A wickedness came upon them
Gripped by obscene, unspeakable urges
Madness took them by the hand
and led them to a darker place

A wickedness crept upon their homes
Yes, a wickedness came upon them
A wickedness came upon their souls

Slowly a new morning approached
In church lay a filthy bloody mass of broken flesh
A puritan orgy of perverted sex, torture and death
The young, the old, all and one
died willingly in raging sadistic ecstasy!

It was the coldness of the tomb
That had crept through the land
The wickedness of the witch
A mirror of their sinful hearts
The witch saw it all and smiled
Then turned away, and walked back to hell

On the floor convulsed by pain
Stabbing through his chest
His eyes rolled back
His tongue is black
Pierced by unseen blades

In an old house in the swamp
Ritual drums resound
Needles in clay
Again and again
The priest cackles loud

A man lies dead in his bed
In his prime it's fair to say
Nothing seems wrong
His body was strong
And yet he's cold as ice

It is the curse of the vodoo priest
His evil spells cause evil dreams
Against the order of all natural life
The body lives when the soul has died

Beware the walking dead!

Oh when the night is dark
And the moon has shed its face
The veil of the underworld covers the stars
Around you the rusting of leaves can be heard
The zombies are out to do their priests command

Scared to death the woman cries
She met her husband in the night
Though six months ago
They buried his corpse
So to the asylum she goes

Carried forth by a gathering storm
Its grace belies a grim resolve
Worried eyes watching below
The growing form on the horizon

Hail Messenger of Doom
We who welcome the fall of man
salutes you

Today the hanged rejoice in his gallows
His tongue a blue banner of triumph
The days he did not live to see
Has fallen under the messenger's wings

Hail messenger of doom
Disciples of the end time salutes you
Hail Doom Hail
Spread your wings on winds of death

Hail doom hail
Onward the messenger flies

Their reason had been crippled - by the fear of a fiery hell
The universe was treated like their private wishing well
So when doom came a'rollin' rollin' - rollin' through their land
They rejoice in rapture trusting his coming is at hand
That Bastard!

To all of those who sit round waiting - for the world to burn
Fuck off to the crematory; keep bitching from your urn
Whether suicide-emo-misanthrope - or Christian reborn from fear
Then I can crank you some metal, and drink up all of your beer
You asshole!

Carnage awaits us beyond these hills
In fields neath vast citadel walls
An army of men, ten thousand strong
A broken pile of bodies to be
Onward to the bloodfields, men
To chaos and conquest and fire
The beauty of steel piercing flesh
The reason why we ride - yeah!

Throwing ourselves into battle
Like this day would be our last
Our victims are bewildered
And scatter before our ranks
A sight to please our gods of war
The breaking of enemy lines
The scores of crows above our heads
A grim sign for those about to die

Onward to the fields of blood
Onward to the fields of myth

Thundering hooves mow you down
Onward into infamy we ride
The horde bringing the hammer down
These lands crushed under our heels

The house of their god burnt to the ground
Their wives to break their backs in our fields
Their seed spread before all winds
Their legacy sinking into the great unknown

I now close upon their king in command
The symbol of his empire's splendour & might
In the sun, his armour is shining so bright
He will not see it set tonight

Then after battle, before the fires
Our fallen are missed but not mourned
Their tales now told in terror
In strange and foreign tongues
They'll rest in the shadow of trees
Grown by their enemies blood
And then to the halls of Oden
They arrive to resounding horns
Hail to their hammerhearts
To the blood, fire death in their veins
They lived under the sign
Brothers, we hail thee

O banished one, we bow once more before your feet
You rose from the woods, of your cold island
Now make all and one; serve you as capable slaves
Your laugh void of remorse, an old elegy not of this world

Thine heart is hard, begging is for naught.
And your tale is certain, to be triumphant
Master of the sea & the high lands; sparks fly from your eyes
This now the last spring; the banks of rivers red with blood

You have but to knock; and the doors of heaven flies open
Warships have left port & hells engines are burning
Smoking fumes and burning fires. This is your age
Whisky! Demon!

Hands folded she is dragged
through dark corridors in his lair.
She was found alone, lost in the night
The young girl prays,
but knows; where she is;
God has no dominion

And every room echoes with some ancient horror
between her sobs she can hear them still;
frightened whispers and phantom screams
here can be no rest, even in death

Voices never heard, faces never seen
They led her to his feet
Anguish in her voice, as she cries out
"Are you even living men?"

Sitting upon the throne of bones,
his face reveals nor age or emotion
His eyes; as the nightsky with all stars dead

Left alone with him, she cannot look away
The burning stare,
The voice in her head,
The fear that slowly fades
Her will it dies away
She's walking into his embrace

From the dungeons,
with their unspeakable tools of pain
to the tallest spires, chambers filled with vile lore
Her screams can be heard for hours

The tyrant has had his gruesome thirst stilled
Tonight, ungodly voices will reveal
more of their secrets to him!

He was born in May, and died the same day
Unbaptized
This was his sin
For this he will be judged

She had lost her child, in infants life
She took her own
This was her sin
For this she will be judged

He had lost his wife and child
Sought refuge in drink & vice
To forget for a while
Lost unto this world, and his little girl
As other men had their way with her
This was his sin
For this he will be judged

The daughter of this man, forever damned
She lost her faith
This was her sin
For this she will be judged

They will burn in the fires of hell
Such is the law of our father God
They had closed their hearts to him
Our merciful, loving and just lord

Harken! Let no sympathy befall them!
Lest you be judged yourself
For every tear for a sinner, shed
A gateway where Satan can enter your heart

You might call his ways mysterious
Or even random and cruel
You should not fear; it will be all revealed
When in time you'll stand before him
When in time you'll stand before him
In the court of judgement most severe
