Reach in Pull out The darkest part of yourself I never said this wouldn’t hurt The pain was all but guaranteed But for once would you listen to someone but yourself Otherwise you’ll make it worse for someone else You’re just a pale shadow Don’t you know that we can see through you You look so tired Your acceptance means nothing Selfishness Useful hypocrisy You’re so afraid of change not going your way If your word is your bond your inaction is a noose A page will take anything as long as you can write Now the ink is shedding The skeletons dance in the night Maybe you were told about the danger of taking sides Have you ever considered the danger of doing nothing at all I ask myself the same every night All night long If you get comfortable You get left behind You’re all potential Maybe nothing more Reach in Pull out Look yourself in the eye Don’t try to hide Or it’ll eat you from the inside out You got comfortable You got left behind Hiding all we know, never truly moving on You got comfortable You got left behind So proud, so complicit
