Falling behind again don't think I'll catch up. But with the stride I've gained bound to self destruct. I've carried burdens but they always slow me down. Problems I've left behind buried in the ground. Running up against time. Running harder. Running up against time. Running hard. Every time I step on the open road. Shed the pain I've felt and lighten up the load. Speeding up I see the finish line ahead. The past reminds me I'm wearing bricks of lead.

I wanted to fly. Reach my hands up toward the sky. Running away from myself but there's a mirror behind me. I wanted a choice somehow I have lost my voice. Screaming at myself but there's no one listening. When life comes crashing down. That old familiar sound. Comes creeping through the gate. It sends me to my fate. Fight for my life too much to leave behind. Make it my choice. I'm going to fly it blind. Hold me in your arms. Keep me free from harm. Catch me if I'm falling down. Wipe away my tears. Buried with my fears. Catch me if I'm falling down. Take away the pain. Anything that takes me away from here. The hard road will never be sincere. I've come face to face with my darkest fears. Struggles so damn hard year after year. If this world could be a fairy tale. Everyone is on the stage. Life's a ship and we must set our sail. Close my eyes and slip away. Been knocked around but I'm still standing strong. Fate will come again before too long.
