Sunlight strikes tectonic plains With rays of gold And is reflected as it warms Jets of water vapour shooting up In skies Some escape into the void Water flowing underground In labyrinthic caves Son of Earth he comes alive Born from pain and lightning from The skies Endless struggle to arrive Buried under mountains made Of fire Causing trembling through The ground Breathing sulphur clouds from Burning wounds Raining cinder from the sky
