Silent slumber of the trees Frost will soon embrace the land Rain falls through salt and earth 'Neath unflickered glow of moon Cold to mortal flesh and mind Unwavering to the plight of mankind Crushing desperation envelops all Anointment of a sylvan awakening In shadows cast 'neath alpine peaks Threads of woe are spun Woven into existence Where life and death are one Whispers of ancient voices call Echoes from within the forest's depths Thunder of times no more Shrouded in the mysteries of night's fall Cold to mortal flesh and mind Unwavering to the plight of mankind Crushing desperation envelops all Anointment of a sylvan awakening Exsanguinate the form of lost primordial wealths and wisdoms Adorn myself with sap and transcendence - absorbed you shall be Ground thine feeble roots in lost tradition Through unspeakable truths you shall be reborn Silent slumber of the trees Frost will soon embrace the land Rain falls through salt and earth Anointment of a sylvan awakening

Through gates of profane reverie To the lands of darkened lore Journey the plains of sanity To arrive at evil's door Sweet sulfurous symphonies Fill the blood red skies With deafening hymns of pain An eternal well of cries Songs of wretched blasphemies A tune to halt my thoughts A strange fire takes hold of me My mortal soul doth rot The tune it chills my spine I long not for the land above A welcome tome to soothe my mind Within the eternal fanfare A flock of unending penance tarnished by crimson shame Profanation reared in solitude to rule the new domain

I roam the earth on alchemy's trail Never far behind, yet it escapes me I long for a sign of my journey's end In curious desperation I tread on The beasts feed my hunger Another rain will quench the thirst The horned moon it guides me Through unrelenting woods I fear no solitude My fury serves me Onward and down To valleys unknown Laid upon the fur and soil Rest but sleep not For I am but mortal A curse as old as time Tempting from beyond Close thy weary eyes and let the vessel rot That which I have desired for as long as I have bled Has torn my withered souls and made my earthen bed
