Madness come unto me In my darkened Xanadu The stagnancy of Shangri La Had drifted into view Frame by frame reality Was skewing my perception Til nothing of my past Remained The ultimate deception Colliding with the present With the future thrown away Behind I saw the fading light The final shards of yesterday Damn this Kinaesthesia Constant stutter In my muscles Static in this time and space Static for all time Nowhere in the past or future Can I now survive Horizon to the left of me A treadmill from the past Slowly fade beyond me To tomorrow they are cast The shuddering accelerates Ionic bonds shake loose The coldest place is nowhere Where I stay I can't break loose Damn this Kinaesthesia A liquid flutter In my muscles Dissolving in this time and space Fading for all time Nowhere is my gaoler It never sleeps I will never die

Where the ocean meets the shore Two worlds mingle The spray of the surf spitting The coarseness of sand scratching The plurality of your mind Tearing your soul In two Clouds parting in the sky Reveal a lustful moon But in my mind the clouds are Taking hold Creatures of the shore Take shelter in the sand But the monsters of my mind Anaesthetize And steal command Evolution robbed me Exiled me to land My mother ocean spurned me And no longer knows my name I choke upon the atmosphere And struggle in the sea I'm torn between two worlds Neither of which nurtures me Littoria I ride the shores but nowhere I belong Littoria I gaze at the horizon Turn and look upon the hill Neither will embrace me Since my birth I have been searching And it seems I'm searching still Littoria I'm fading in the moonlight's pallid stare Littoria The stars and planets do not seem to care I wade into the roaring sea Await some god to carry me Away from strangeness, apathy My world awaits My world Littoria

Your scarlet tears congeal in pools Around your road worn feet Your golden aura dimmed and left you On your own and incomplete The rose now grows with spider veins Blemishing your cheeks The bile that chokes and gags you Is the only green you've seen for weeks Colours are mutated where the palette cannot reach The grimy underbelly where the light cannot be leached Hues are corpses in a world Where shades of blackness swallow day And grey has stained the rainbow In a world where hope was ripped and torn away The sky a constant charcoal Blue is felt but never seen And azure as sure as sickness Feels as though it's never been Violent is as close a colour as you'll ever know And your spirit oozes like black ink upon the virgin snow Colours are mutated where the palette cannot reach The grimy underbelly where the light cannot be leached Hues are corpses in a world Where shades of blackness swallow day And grey has stained the rainbow In a world where hope was ripped and torn away

I remember that day When I was seventeen I'd lost my will to live Life was just a rancid dream As I swung from the noose I could hear them scream My neck was broken Not for long it seemed Set me free These damned wounds always heal in me Let me see What's on the other side of life I can't stand the misery I remember that day When I was twenty four My father died And I didn't want to live anymore As I choked on the poison I could hear them scream My system shut down Not for long it seemed Set me free These damned wounds always heal in me Let me see What's on the other side of life I can't stand the misery No one left but me These damned wounds always heal in me This desert was a sea And these bones are all that's left To witness my immortality

Long after day retired We saw St. Elmo's fire It soothed our sleeping souls And took the cold away A window to a world Within the waters swirled It called for us to come And led us from the troubles of this place We found a new enlightened race An ethos we could all embrace A perfect beauty in a fragile well A fleeting universe, ephemeral Our stay too short but now we have to tell Returning here like being damned to hell A perfect beauty in a fragile well A fleeting universe, ephemeral Our stay too short but now we have to tell Returning here like being damned to hell A perfect beauty in a fragile well A fleeting universe, ephemeral Could no longer stay here now the pond we see Below its surface set us free

The cells within our bodies Are replaced each seven years But a memory can last a thousand lifetimes The itch below the surface And the welling of our fears Are the preface to an ancestral crime There was a time When I would sleep as soon as I hit the pillow There was a time When I knew not depression A hateful wind has breeched my skin And underneath it billows It burns my soul And leaves its sick impression I never knew my father But I'm sure he must be dead I feel that empty feeling in my bones A lot has changed these last few months A war within my head And raining from above like falling stones The dreams come to me every night now The masquerade conceals my wicked plans Some spirit in the wind or a man within my mind Whispers for me to descend the stairs I dare to lift my mask and take a glance into the mirror I see myself but see it isn’t me Familiar yet unknown to me the man tips me a wink Through centuries he sets me Invites me to enjoy the show I'm terrified yet mesmerised I don't know what to think The music gathers pace and the dancers gather 'round Identities not known, nor inhibition A frenzy in a heightened daze An elevated toxic phase A girl is separated and invited out for air The scene is ended by a knife A piercing, chilling scream The curtain falls it is blood-red And every morning say I say it's just a dream It changed one day, my mother died To quell the grief I cleaned the memories from her attic In my father's hand I found the note of suicide Felt that distant evil voice call through like static I read his note and wiped away my tears Those very dreams were also his They plagued his father and grandfather too So many generations driven by one twisted act A murder echoes generations through And I glance into the mirror And I see it isn’t me An evil apparition from genetic memory I take a knife to take a life I struggle with the wrong and right Within I am still there And driven by despair If I'm to take a life it must be me

Sheltering my family Beneath a hostile sky The stars looked ever colder And I knew that we would die When they landed I could see They moved like you or I They hunted all our neighbours All I could do was cry Invasion unforeseen The ending of our dream My grief and fear unite These demons end my race tonight Hiding I could see it all Herded in, their bodies fall One by one our species dies Why can't these creatures sympathise? My heart is crying out in pain How many more here still remain? I see no point in moving on So many of my friends are gone Soldiers in a deadly fan Spread across the blood soaked ground Ignoring pleas for mercy A sacrificial lamb Invasion unforeseen The ending of our dream My grief and fear unite These demons end my race tonight My heart is crying out in pain I am the last one to remain I see no point in moving on My will to live is gone They celebrate their vicious deeds Our planet's grim rebirth Before I die I hear them say They claim this land for earth

You scorch the earth with your caustic stare Your baited children dying in your lair They're mesmerized, a glazed look in their eyes They sit in peace and wait for their demise Beware the man with the fevered tongue His words form evil melodies, but must remain Unsung He'll give you fouled breath from his toxic lung He'll poison you And then watch you die You've come to die Behold, I am the light I am your rock, your shepherd I'll protect you in the night Beware the sins of people They are the lost ones, hell's children The souls of evil deeds We are all embryos, our lives not yet begun When you escape this womb then you and god Will join as one And with my glory bind So the damned are left behind Yes the death of human kind will see our birth We have the power We shall destroy the world Of life we'll cleanse the planet Of pain we'll free our souls He lost a mind with an acrid word One lost soul found and found his voice Absurd Those mesmerized were soon to find their way And murder the man who had let them all Astray He was the man with the fevered tongue And by this wretched organ from an oak tree He was hung His plots unfinished his twisted will undone They foiled him He was forced to die No god was seen to cry

Look upon his furrowed brow Cast a shadow in his eyes A long gone age creeping back The time recedes but still survives Head spins like a carousel No memory of the recent past Metamorphosis begins This blurry sight is now his last Now it belongs to Neanderthal within A Pleistocene figure in the future's recent past Neanderthal man in a modern man's cast Survives True identity revealed, mind thrown back Falling through the epochs See them dying Neanderthal within Prehistory survives None so cursed to sin Falling through time Calling from the past The embryo begins Though the man could never find The placenta in his mind Captured in the name of science Neanderthal can't understand Standing strongly in defiance Locked up strongly in demand Experimental blueprint Laboratory his home Depression grips his soul He must escape the into the cold Running through the forest His spirit calls him home A cave is in the distance No longer he will roam His long lost clan of countless years Within the fire now appears A restless spirit from the past Into the fire free at last Look upon his furrowed brow Cast a shadow in his eyes A long gone age creeping back The time recedes but still survives Head spins like a carousel No memory of the recent past Metamorphosis begins This blurry sight is now his last A Pleistocene figure trapped within the past A modern man's soul in Neanderthal cast Must die True identity revealed, soul was never born Waken the memories The future dies

A house alone Stark in abandonment Decaying memories No more a home A fleet of ships Sent to survey new worlds Sunken in brine No more to roam And they say all our lives to impress Live to win, live to conquer, to transgress But as we pace back and forth Undermining our thoughts Is the fear that all we are, all we will be Are ghosts in flesh Fight each day Feed the banking machine To keep the kids fed To keep the house clean Cannot open your eyes To the planet's demise Have a mortgage to pay While our morals decay But the hollowness inside Plastered over with a thin veil of pride Something in there has died Just a beating heart and a toxic mind But with nothing else are we really alive? When we crowned ourselves the masters of the earth Was it really just a slow death and not a rebirth? With economies our gods Has the bottom line twisted every mind And the ghosts in flesh left a dead world behind?

An elder's nostrils flare As quiet calm gives way to chill laden breeze Sand dances in harsh trances Round the bases of acacia trees A steely glare burns beacon like From deep within the butcherbird's eyes Whilst a tribesman glides unnoticed To the place where the horizon meets the skies The sparks within the campfire rise and die As willy willies swirl and howl And woman folk cling grimly to their babies They fear something's on the prowl A bitter evil lurks in the parched bed Of this so vast and ancient sea A dark-skinned evil devil dog A vessel for lycanthropy Devil dance invokes the sand The elders tense with fear The memories of their childhoods tell them The dog Irrinja soon be here The winds howl fierce toward them As dust devils rob the night time sky of stars The fire is extinguished and the tribe escapes The cave seems much too far The dingoes cower in their lairs This cry they hear is not from one of them They smell a distant evil well of darkness From which terror soon will stem The morning comes, the wind has gone And the young ones' spirits lift them into song The sun burns hot and bakes the land Oblivious to what lay beneath the sand And that day brings much rejoicing They feel the worst is done But the elders tremble grimly As a silhouette flies from the sun Hours pass and soon the sky goes dark The bird unmoving in the tree The deathly silence taunts them 'til the firelight is all they hear and see Their breath hangs still in misty clouds A chill grips them so they cannot speak And terror rips right through them As the butcherbird unleashes with its shriek Devil dance invokes the sands The elders tense with fear The memories of their childhoods warn them The dog Irrinja son be here Morning breaks the old man rubs his eyes He peers around and sees the bleeding sands The bone and sinew scattered Remnants of his dear departed clan The butcherbird flies trailing some intestine From its sharp ungodly bill And a baby's head stares blankly The last witness to a cruel and bloody kill
