Ice Upon the Night

"I face the wall of a storm, that freezes my soul; ..with heart open wide I walk in.." I close my eyes and let the wind embrace with it's flow; As I sence warmth commece in within. I walk alone in the snow beneath the starlit sky; I am free from the load of sin.. Into the purifying light I walk without fear; I feel the frost of holiness enter me.. Frozen from the world I'm in; State of mind.. ..of divine! Everwinter.. Frozen state of my mind; Divine in the world I'm in; Everwinter is nigh! "Everwinter - Divine state of mind.." In the heart of the north I have walked through the snow; I look back at the trail that I came. One set of footprints I see, but now I know I wasn't alone; Because the trails are not mine.. I wander through the wind and snow deeper into the unknown; Old spruce trees and the sights of snowy fields I pass by; The forest of my mind.. With fear I look the shapes and silhouettes; One of them I stop to stare. Black eyes of night looking back at me; Raven of despair.. I stare into raven's eyes and see reflection of my life; I see the sorrow and the tears, the demons of my fears; Memories that tear.. The snow glimmers like stars before my eyes; The glow of my fate. I feed the fire in the night and wish the memories away; As with tears I watch the flames of departure. I still think of you and it makes it even harder; I can't remember but the good times we had.. It was the love that become hate and all the wrong words were said; I never wanted this to be, but still it is. Seems like these nights are getting each time longer; Longer they are when I pass them all alone.. I walk alone the cold streets. Love is gone, cold streets. I watch the snow flowing down gently from the open sky; It makes me feel more alive. I've been lying here alone, isolated from the crowd; After my suicide.. Feels like my all emotions die, in depression I lie; And they ask the questions why. I can't remember the scene, from the tragedy I see; Just the red in the snow.. They try to hide the tears and look away; But they just stare at my scars.. My broken heart pumped the blood; Out of my broken veins. Knife alone in the snow; Red of life run to waste.. A new start I will seek, mind is strong but body weak; I await my heart to heal. Just like staring into light, I am blinded by this fire; As long as life there's hope for me.. They try to hide the tears and look away; But they just stare at my scars.. My broken heart pumped the blood; Out of my broken veins. I lie alone in the snow; Red from life as He came.. Alive!
