Return to the Dream

How long have I been in this room The nights all blend as one Concealed, and in isolation When will I next see the sun I must end it there is no other way And so I accumulate pills given to me Broken glass shards smuggled back to my cell This is the night that I return to the dream Swallowing a multitude of pills Only numbs my sense so I clench the glass And the shards open up my flesh Bleeding profuse but still remain I can hear the spirits Calling out to me telling me that I am now so close To returning home Draining my blood I've stained the room My vision begins to fade away But still I cut deeper in Until I can sleep And the shards open up my flesh Bleeding profuse until I can sleep
