Abyss

Out of nothing a void Swallowing light and dark alike A being beyond the confines of existence Slowly expanding its grasp Onto reality itself One last breath of what once was And thus time stars anew Born of nothing Into a universe devoid of thought The first of its race Witnessing the birth of its kin Forming worlds out of dust Gods amongst us From scorched earth The firstborn rises The heir to a throne Yet to be built Aeons feed on the restless minds Civilisations racing towards extinction

A tomb made of time In the darkest depths of the horizon Its corpse slowly rotting away The perennial ruins of a king Yet only the form wastes away What lies beneath the frail skin Still carrying what made it unique Stored in a system evolved to endure Decades take what is rightfully theirs Turning bones to dust Leaving nothing behind But life always finds a way Endless repetitions of basic shapes Among dust and ashes An ember Able to scorch all of existence No movement and no pulse Nothing to wake the ancient god The atmosphere in standstill Above forgotten soil A reaction Ever so common Forming bonds To create a single drop of life

I can feel it Crawling beneath my skin Blisters forming My epidermis peeling off I can feel the acids Pulsating through my entire being Burying my heart in my chest Ripping out the veins The wrath All consuming I will scorch Everything inside The forlorn sky Deafening the screams Of my blood-filled lungs A blinding darkness Within its core A vessel of what was once myself The pain All consuming I will scorch Everything inside Absorbing every single bit Of what you think is yours I know where you are now How dare you wake a god?

Circling a dead star Awaiting its demise Thirsting for light An anomaly born from time Covered in layers of dust Home to gods and kings alike Consciousness withing Dark matter enveloping the nothingness inside A rupture opening Scorching gas spills from its womb Power Unbound Pulsing through brittle veins As entropy erupts Chaos seeks chaos Life seeks death An entity makes way A god seeking his throne Coming to a halt Adjusting the axis Forcing the spin Nothing stands in the way A gate to a world of the blind Worldeater Devouring wrath Feeding on hatred Black liquid oozing From a sacred throne

Swarming like flies Above a rotten carcass The wings cut through air A deafening sound Streams of abyssals Fill the sky Locus hungry for prey Their teeth cut deep Ripping the weak to shreds Only small rays of light Break through a sky filled with flesh and bones Encircling the monolith Built by the priests of A'n Gol Air trembles As the legion rise As the vermin stream To the tower aflame Streams of black Cut through the land Taking life after life A loss without consequence The masses too big Shaking the cracking soil The everlasting twilight Turns to darkness Light suffocates Between their bleeding wings

As it near the neon gates A force takes hold Embraces the body With a cold grasp Closer and closer It walks towards the spewing light The nerves fire Pain reaches the brain An explosion as molecules Are ripped apart Bonds brakes and atoms shatter Electrons free from their radial prision Energy in its purest form Skins rips apart the epidermis peeling off Sucked into the light Its bones twisted and broken like twigs Turned into dust the second they reach the Event Horizon The muscles split their single fibres Vapourizing blood in the hollow glow The teeth pulled from the mouth The brain long gone Light years merely a second away
