Ever After

I’m safe and sound in my own bed and through the dream I hear A mother’s voice, bedtime stories with endings so beautiful But Ever after turns to disaster and shame will fall over this tormented play Ever after Ending the chapter with pain that follows till the end of the day I’m crying out (I’m shouting out loud) I’m walking away (Just walk away) with my eyes wide open I’ve been so blind (Out of your mind) It was all a lie (What a great surprise) Now my spell is broken But Ever after turns to disaster and shame will fall over this tormented play Ever after Ending the chapter with pain that follows till the end of the day Don’t you ever feel, you’ve been so naïve believing miracles? Oh, I just feel like the biggest fool holding on to you and my make-beliefs All the sorrows were left behind A new day was beginning And they lived happily Ever after turns to disaster and shame will fall over this tormented play Ever after Ending the chapter with pain that follows till the end of the day until the end of the day
