An Angel’s Tale
Chestnut hair bedewed white with the snow's mist
as her hands unfold and entrance the wintry morass
An altar's silver silk adorns her as her eyes of ruby search
out the heart of another
Her path she walks in dark across the cobblestone pass the
thickened bone gates
These caverns of cold many paths grow old
We travel to the fires that thrive with lustful warmth and desire
A mirage left in water setting sun across the sea
An icy fountain falling to its lather less
I long for sleep to my knees I fall to a myriad of treasure furs
Mammoth, mink, zebra skins bring solace still my veins are of ice
I saunter for the ghost that haunts my every waking hour
A dance through the stone cryptic megaliths
Blazing pyre permit demon chattel to drift
Wind amid hollowed wood melody for our stanza
Thirst the pool sorcerer yearn for your wish Avaria
She may ensnare the angelic mirror
A ship of sail to announce two you must kindle just one
Do not pale with fault mortal or your valor belongs to I
A wanton slave for eternity
"Who are you?" "I am one of three the temptress of passion.
You shall come upon two others one of betrayal the other of flawless flame."
I whisper her name across the rustic wooded deck
She is near the esoteric so near
I stir her spicy fragrance into the dampened night felt air a moonlit night
A face then appears worn with age she is now an old woman
Her seed travels with the wind a dying tree she has become
She than disappears into the sea
"Only a fool would clutch at an image in the tempest
There is no drifting ship, nor the temptress of love and lore
Goddess Avaria is not here only I am Joannuss
Temptress of this my domain all that is frozen."
"Yes you have stilled thy syrup that melts amid my thoughts
And cast me into frost but I have prevailed
I leave you now an empty flame
Lost in ice and still crying my name."
