'Twas so many years ago that he was here last Abaddon, lord of the abyss angel of the dark Mighty battles they were fought, cities rose and fell Although we won ten thousand souls went straight down to hell The darkest angel's here again, and his lessons learned He'll use the final conflict to make the whole world born He's been sitting, watching, a world that's filled with hate As we build the weapons, with which to seal our fate So now the battle's joined by mortals all across the globe To avert the holocaust that would tear out their souls They face the angels' forces, an army out of hell But who would win the battle, no one knows to tell

The night it comes, Darkness falls upon the world again he stalks, darkened streets, our last line of defence All through deserted streets he walks his lonesome way He's ready for the shock 'til night turns into day No one knows, where he's from, they just why he's here Hell's gates have broken open, to fill the world with fear And as he walks, he feels the eyes, like knives in his back So he stops, right he stands, and dares them to attack Chorus: No place to hide, nowhere to run Master, of night The guardian They attack, with flashing blade he sends them back to hell Demon screams fill the air, hear the tolling of the bell To soon the day returns, he disappears once more With the night, he'll be back, defender in eternal war Chorus X2
