Dawn of the Iron Shadow
Welcome, my lords, welcome My master bids thee unburden thyselves Come, lay down arms and douse the fires of enmity My master is called to labor Even now, 'neath the dusk of war He travails in solitude at the great work And will never cease until this realm is restored Still, he awaits thee below O beloved kin, splendid host of Valinor Temper thy spirits and descend with me now Into obsidian Utumno, and rejoice in his boundless gеnerosity And all he shall ask Is that you kneel beforе him

In a slumber of the northern keep He dreams beneath the fortress deep Flowing flame and broken land An untempered heart and blackened hand Encroaching upon the land so fair The Arda dawn rises with despair Council convenes While fires burn the vale Marching to the gates Thy fortress they shall assail Mocked! Before the gates A call of secret things Across a starry waste Obey these tеrms and kneel At my throne with Tulkas bound With sudden wrath they arе filled And a rout of strength was found Iron locked beyond the Hall Of Mandos he does wait While forests flourish, orcs shall cry Bringing forth the age of chains Bound before the throne of silver Writhing in rage at his victor

Under a dreadful sky of pale moonlight In forests of Brethil the Gold Worm let out a cry Walk to despair, entranced in a dream Into the waters of death she takes the dreadful leap Farewell, O twice beloved This truth I cannot bear Farewell, O twice beloved Waters below end my despair Alone in the cold He wakes in the blood In a realm of a graven nightmare Just before the morning sun Led astray And his strength begins to break Rest with the worm of golden terror A darkness of one to decay Now comes the night Of what lord or loyalty dost thou know? To save the hand that wieldeth thee? With all the blood you shall grow Wilt thou slay me swiftly? Farewell, O twice beloved Forgotten masters and the slain unjust Farewell, O twice beloved Come forth, I will slay thee and drink thy blood

At the gates of Summer Dawn was hailed with ancient song To the north the riders glow With dragons gaze on swans below Serpents of iron Pouring into the breach Breathers of fire Thy hidden rock besieged Into the dark winds Under the signs Great is the fall Of Gondolindrim life To speaketh thy poison Onward, alone and without No triumphs for treason Or whispered shadows of doubt They could feel the woe in the wind And their hearts did cry with a fear With the stench of dеath His whip draws near Heroes risе when the shadows fall Above the fountain he stood tall The silver spike and a sharpened blade And without fear he thrust his spear With a song of flutes to seal their fate Through sorrow hope remains In hearts of those who bore the flames Dead and slain by warden's hand A beacon of light on broken land

The white-clad armies of Elfinesse were all to ruin By the dread hate, driven of Delu-Morgoth That field is yet by the folk named Ninin Unothadrin, Unnumbered Tears There the children of men fled and fought not Save that true golden heir Thalion Erithamrod and his thanes like gods Therein host the hill-fiend orcs By the bidding of Bauglir, bound him living And pulled down the proudest of the princes of men

Crawling out from the sudden flame With a vengeful heart and an unsheathed blade To form a thorn in Melkor's side But he wept not, for his heart was ice Then off the path Through the flowers of gold Enchanted by A love so pure, they would behold Beyond the trees he did roam In silver light he found his home Cloaked in grey, the royal heart of pride Unveiled to protest Death you earn with your words Now go forth upon thy quest And seek the Iron Crown Or bе cast down Now hear this is my will Bring to me a Silmaril A handmade jеwel is what you seek? Is this the price of a king? Beyond the trees I shall roam This quest for light on my own And thus in anguish Beren paid For that great doom upon him laid Beyond the trees he rides the path Through the sorrows of Doriath The deathless love of Lúthien Too fair for love of mortal men And fate then forged a binding chain Of living love and mortal pain I sing to thee as shadows weep In sorrows dark and binding keep Sheathe thy sword, my mortal love The halls, they call me up above

Ascending in the cold Where wrathful winds blow A storm upon the sky Death wing and the jewel of light The burning heart And breath of flame Coercing the stars to dim Forgetting thy name To war Casting him down Claiming the sky Bearer of starlight With eagles in flight Bearer of starlight Piercing the night The burning heart And breath of flame Coercing the stars to dim Forgetting thy name And out of the dark there came a light Wielding the jewel and burning bright Cast from the sky by the foam of the flower Ancalagon the Black has broken the towers Claiming the sky Master of starlight Ashes of Angband in sight Vanquished and thrust through the door of night
