The Judas Touch
Every day another lie
I find out just by chance
With rumors spreading like disease
A smile's a fatal crime

Behind my back the news are told
No one's asking me
I don't know what's going on
They do seemingly

Who are you
You know I trusted you
Who are you
But now I see through you

Intrusion in my privacy
There's nothing I can do
Everyone knows everything
Just I don't have a clue

Rumors, gossip, fairy tales
It's time to stop the game
Wait until the winds have changed
Things won't look the same

Who are you
You know I trusted you
Who are you
But now I see through you
Who are you
Who do you think you are
Who are you
Now you've gone too far

Suffocate - choking on your words
Asphyxiate - yor lies remain unheard
Suffocate

The seed of anger's blossoming
And harvest is about
I'm fed up, I've had enough
Like crops I'll cut you down

Who are you
You know I trusted you
Who are you
But now I see through you
Who are you
Who do you think you are
Who are you
Now you've gone too far
Do you think at all

Marching feet in unity
We follow the melody
No one stepping out of line
Ignoring every warning sign

Following the piper's tune
That will lead us to our doom
We believe our leader's lies
Not recognizing their disguise

Blinded
By our own desires
We don't see what we destroy
Silenced
By social dependence
We don't dare to go against the grain

The future of this planet
We carry in our hands
But I'm really afraid of
The seeds we plant

Environmental holocaust
The second paradise is lost
Killing life of land and sea
We pave our road to destiny

Crippled
By nuclear radiation
Mutilated children cry
Profit
Is what we sold our souls to
Cash the idol we adore

The future of this planet
We carry in our hands
But I'm really afraid of
The seeds that we plant

Hundreds of thousands
Spreading their heresy
The heathen threat, all the lies
Soon in to see the light
Their innocence unproved
Tortured voices name the truth

Hundreds of thousands
A sacred destiny
Called to arms on God's demand
Gathering to make their stand
Warriors in Jerusalem became marauders

I gave my blessing
Allowed it to happen
To Christ in Heaven
Genocide seemingly
Was another word for victory

Can there be another place for me than Heaven
Decisions I've made never were against his will
All my faults shall be forgiven
At least the pearly gates are awaiting me

Hundreds of thousands
Make no difference to me
Though starving mothers' children cry
The unborn soul shall live, that's why
The pill must fail, I shall prevail

I gave my blessing
Allowed it to happen
To Christ in Heaven
Hunger seemingly
Supports belief efficiently

Can there be another place for me than Heaven
Decisions I've made never were against his will
All my faults shall be forgiven
At least the pearly gates are awaiting me

Here I stand and wonder
Why Heavens's gates are gleaming red
As if flames throw their shadow
On a wall and paint it black

I've got the power, I'm the ruler of your lives
There is nothing you can hide from me
Living in fear, you can never be sure
Treason is my strongest force to be

I'm the heir to the throne
And I strengthen my power
Those who stand in my way
I will devour
Legions of oppression signed with runes of victory
Rumors speak of their brutality
They'll find you and in torment you'll soon confess
Everything that is useful to me

Many of your fellows disappeared from here
Criticism I can't tolerate
The leaders of rebellion never will return
Opposition I must terminate
Terminate

Keep the masses silent, I suppress the land
I restrict your every need
Just leave you your faith
For the church is at my side
My thoughts upon you they will feed

I'm the heir to the throne
And I strengthen my power
Those who stand in my way
I will devour

When I got a moment to think about all this
Then I remember Judas, the traitor's fatal kiss
This ancient tale of treason now happens everywhere
To stab in others' backs is not a big affair

Fake ideals we idolize
We lack the guts to criticize
Unable just to realize
The Judas touch we feel

The bold expressive subject is pushed into the stream
Of commonness that drowns the individual dream
Our lives are ruled by money for which we work all day
The wellfed and the satisfied won't question anyway

Our senses stunned by perfect lies
Material virtues hypnotize
The friendly smile's a grand disguise
The Judas touch we feel

Some people that I've trusted spread rumors'round the place
But I can now see through their masks, refuse their fake embrace
This brings me back to Judas, the trusted enemy
Who seems to be the true god to our society

Spreading rumors, telling lies
Screw everyone for the right prize
Invent accuse and then he dies
The Judas touches kill

Sometimes I wonder what I'm doing down here
Life seems to be just routine
Loneliness is what when I feel it I fear
Will to live is growing thin
Will to live is growing thin

Is there anyone left I can trust
With whom my sorrow I can share
Sometimes my hope seems to get lost
In those moments I'm no stranger to despair

What makes us so sure that we are needed
That something remains when we're gone
In places of darkness my illusions receded
When reality entered my dreams were all done
When reality entered my dreams were all done

Is there a place left for me to retire
Where wounds of life could probably heal
Asking for one who's a spark to a fire
That ends up the long winter's coldness I feel

My way leads through empty halls
My looks barred by towering walls
Through endless silence I am walking
A silence born from empty talking
Weary just to lean against the wind
But every winter ends in spring

The tools of injustice can't dominate forever
Soon there will be movements
To go against the grain
Empires of terror, held up by weapons' strength
Will crumble into nothingness
Becoming freedom's gain

May it be the Chinese students
Who stood up, demanded why
Senile, old fashioned rules
Bare of answers, bare of brains
Violence was their solution
Lead beat 'em wisdom, freedom died

Why can't we see
We are many, they are few
Now it's time to
Hear, see, speak evil
Open your eyes

Have a look at German history
A parted people by an insane wall
Leipzig, Dresden, East Berlin
People got to their feet, got to the streets
Had a peaceful revolution
The brittle empire was to fall

But soon enough
Problems appeared
Money's still
Lady Justice's sword
Now that we're free
Give us convenience
Now we are blind
Now we are nought

Why can't we see
We are many, they are few
Now it's time to
Hear, see, speak evil
Open your eyes

The ideals of rebellion
Can't dominate forever
And revolution's aims
Will soon be falsified
Corruption, greed and treason
Will creep into the hearts
Of former freedom fighters
Who now use what they denied

Why can't we see
We are many, they are few
Now it's time to
Hear, see, speak evil
Open your eyes

Frightening chill in July
Blackened snow from the sky
Where, tell me where have we come to
We don't know what's to be
When we rise from the sea
This can't be real what we run through

No more bird, no more tree
For all eternity
Only wastelands covered with ashes
Crippled shadows of plants
Where the cathedral stands
Darkened by nuclear flashes

We were on a mission
To the southern hemisphere
Official visit to Australia
At the news we all shed a tear
Nearly occupied by hysteria

We have no choice, we must return
To see if it was true
To our homes, to our deaths
We must find the clue

Now we see it's for real
Now we all feel the chill
Our hearts break at the sight of destruction

This place was our home
Now it's covered with death
No sound, no movement, no breath
As we think of our beloved in this toxic grave
Crying out we feel the entry of despair

We have no choice, we must return
To tell that it was true
We know we take the hope from all
But what else can we do

A few months later time has caught us, too
The changing winds will carry death
But we know what's to do
Our code of honour is to die before the earth
And in despair we wonder
Why there were love and birth

Now's the final morning
Today we go to sea
To die a warrior's death
To die means to be free

We depart light-hearted
In honour we will drown
Into our peaceful grave
The waters take us down
