Celestial Woods
Lightning strikes Infinite Distant cries unwind Asunder nascence A spirit breathes its first Risen from the ash beneath A dark wraith Forlorn, forsaken A dark wraith, solivagant White, wild and free “I bleed Oh, lift me as a wave, a leaf, a cloud I fall upon the thorns of life“

Keen as are the arrows Of that silver sphere Whose intense lamp narrows In the white dawn clear Until we hardly see, we feel that it is there In the golden lightning Of the sunken sun Drive my dead thoughts over the universe Like wither'd leaves to quicken a new birth And, by the incantation of this verse Scatter, as from an unextinguish'd hearth Ashes and sparks, my words among mankind Be through my lips to unawaken'd earth

I gleam It feels as though death has overtaken me Wearily, it rests upon All I’ve done All I’ll ever be Yet I remain Soaring higher, eager Amidst its deep gills of oblivion Besides callous mountains And their pure and holy rivers, adjacently Cloaked by the night sky That presses upon us Spreading its darkened wings Transforming everything and everyone here

Until the fire broke out for a lesser god in its dire infancy Surfaced, it continued to glow and grow Implacable, innate As flames consumed the formless, desperately A promise of closure never uttered But merely scoured, above and beneath Once nothing and ever since the loss Though, was some or none of this supposed to be Was it the rust, could it have been the plague To leave those left in disarray But in truth, nothing ever means everything And often suddenly, life has a new meaning Perhaps tethered to my teeth is a sullen thread That comes apart at the seams And yet remains unhinged For those moments, I mean more than I can dish out Or more than this dreaded life means to me And steadily, a lust for the unknown stays true and still The hands of time expanding the universe for you and me As the howling end becomes the forbidden hour forever And just as eternally, I am drawn to your parallel With unscathed affection and all else forsaken As clouds gesture to the boundless sea Under the aegis of a faceless, crimson sky Ever burning, ever turning, awaiting to plunge forth To seize the night, down comes the rain

Distant sight Serrated edge Bare spectrum sheath Uncovered eyes Semblance fortified These walls and doors Have but seen us passing by A vision shorn of some other glancing light So I can see, I can feel I can be there never again In shadows of no life, no lies Eternal unlight

An endless array of ceilings above us all Treading the skyline Whelmed unforeseen In the wake of past lives Losing voice Losing lungs, vision and light still alive Aliferous, a broken life In absence of death and love In stars of no light

Drowning in your sea Ever changing paths will show Where I've been, you go Somewhere far away Where I'll be, you’ll go Set free Adrift, undone Amidst the fire As those eyes glow Morning grieves Drenched in ash and rain Half asleep, so lost within a lurid dream Are we close to the horizon Is it closure at all So it ends Seeing blood and bones Swept away in the ocean Took a hand Turned into something new More than ever Ever before Drowning in your vice Sunk in the deep blue of another moon Before you rush back to the shore Let your eyes show The dark in your bright Forsaken light

For all warmth has now escaped me Shielded from rust My heart soars in agony Though it’s true that without these wings I am but a leaf A solitary feather severed from the body An empty shell An abandoned soul A broken promise A shattered dream
