Into the night the moon shine was bright I walked on to the stones of old Where druids once sang and dark leaves now hang My mood was fearless and bold Circle of the Sun Lives of men undone Who was to say what words I should pray There in the circle of stone And the cromlech was dark and silent And the circle I entered alone And there, possessed by visions Of a journey to the past Dreams so real they made me feel Into a world of yore I had been cast Times of peace and war To live forevermore Seasons changing fast On a journey to the past Following my way As I walk on night and day Oh... oh... Stone of Crom whose dark gaping holes Now vacant, black secrets hide They murmur atavistic tales and myths Of death heads that lay inside Priests now gone were all around And acknowledged my presence there Ancient men who ruled back when True magic was everywhere Times of peace and war To live forevermore One day I shall rest Upon this world so vast Ever shall I stay And never be away Oh... oh... Silent Ancient priests Hold forth Staves ablaze Birth and death Dying breath Dying nights Dying days Gazing at the sky Until the day I die Following my way As I walk on night and day Oh... oh...

Along the green shores of a river Where once Norsemen settled for winter Our dragon sails, his heart feeble Escaping the wrath of the invincible, yeah So shall the bards sing in times to come Crosshaven After fear, slaughter and misery Torn and ravaged we long for sanctuary Pleading ancient spirits to strike back Against our foe, o mighty gods attack, yeah So shall the bards sing in times to come Crosshaven Scattered and battered The mighty invincible, vanquished Crosshaven Crosshaven Crosshaven Crosshaven On the pool we raise our spirits Having been pushed beyond our limits It's time to recover from the mighty fray And return to the high seas in search of prey, yeah Yeah...

Alone walking through the night no brothers by my side For I am old my wealth resides in tales I tell with pride Many years I wandered, and lived life to the full For this planet can be so kind, yet can be so cruel White bearded and old Soon to meet death's clutch My hands blades did hold And my eyes have seen so much! Come sit by the fire For the night is dark and cold If such is you desire Come hear the tales of old Once the world held magic that now men did forget Many foes and friends along my journey have I met You never know for sure where danger may dwell A fragile woman may be worse than all the fields in Hell Hear the tales Of bliss and woe Time to learn And know Come sit by the fire For the night is dark and cold If such is you desire Come hear the tales of old Alone walking through the night no brothers by my side For I am old my wealth resides in tales I tell with pride Many years I wandered, and lived life to the full For this planet can be so kind, yet can be so cruel White bearded and old Soon to meet death's clutch My hands blades did hold And my eyes have seen so much!

As the dusk gives way to night The embers' glow grows strong By the bonfire once a light The procession is come and gone Ghosts that rise out from the woods With memories once held dear Moving on without a sound Oblivious to pain and fear The forest is dark and deep All is silent like a grave Do the spirits come in search Of life that they still crave Or are they caught between the worlds Unable to find rest Burdened by the sins and torment And anguishes of their past They march without so much as a nod to acquiesce Should I try to interact with the ones that came to pass? Memento ???? De profundis clamavi ad te, Domine: Domine, exaudi vocem meam ???? Kyrie eleison. Christe eleison. Kyrie eleison. Pater noster. Et ne nos inducas in tentationem. Sed libera nos a malo. A porta inferi. Erue, Domine, animas eorum. Requiescant in pace... Amen... Phantom glow amidst the trees Looming from beyond the tomb Land of never ending darkness Where all flowers ceased to bloom I fear that if they lift their heads To gaze at me with gaping holes Their eerie light will capture And forever take away my soul They march, pale line of light Sepulchral, expressionless And the breeze chills to the bone And the sky is overcast

A deep but troubled slumber From which I could not wake Dreams and visions grip me Like the coils of a snake See the rising mountains It's madness they spell Crimson skies above From which angels fell In the night, paralyzed Evil nightmares, tormenting me Trapped in dreams; eldritch schemes I must wake up to be set free Oh... oh... oh... yeah... yeah... Swift descending darkness Swallowing the light Sorcerers surround me Perform an evil rite Vicious monsters rising From the depths underground I grip sword and dagger With courage newly found In the night, paralyzed Evil nightmares, tormenting me Trapped in dreams; eldritch schemes I must wake up to be set free Oh... oh... oh... yeah... yeah...

Where the land ends and the sea will begin The King of the realm was summoned to see Buried in sand, by the ocean blue Ancient stones bearing portents and prophecy Surely these stones from an antique past Blessed in the name of the mother of Christ Now disclosed by God for all to see Were the sign of a glorious destiny When waters mingle From East and West We raise our gaze to the eternal Sun Men of high knowledge came see the stones Francis of Holland would later recall A circle of altars from ancient Rome The Sun and the Moon at the center of all Then a tower was built on the salt-covered rock A lighthouse to guide the ships to the land In time those memories would also fade And the tower as well was lost in the sand When waters mingle From East and West Our lives go on the endless cycle We raise our gaze to the unconquered Sun The time we now live in will soon be the past Maybe the stones and naught else may last But for now I toil under the Sun From the stories that ended, a new one begun Retrieved from the sand where long they did rest Altars to gods, and pillars so white A millennium past, the writings at last Again praise the Sun under his light When waters mingle From East and West

Far away, from the cold north Towards the riches of the holy land They sailed with a saga ahead With their crosses and swords in hand Mighty crusader and king Would have many stories to tell He reached the end of the world In his hands Lisbon and Sintre fell Sigurd, Crusader With tales to be told The way to the East Paved with blood and gold Sixty ships and five thousand men So much to plunder on the way to the east Swords of steel in the name of Christ To take the life of every man and beast Al-Andalus never tried Such fierceness in battle and barbaric rage Wild Norsemen converted to Christ The lion of Norway set free from its cage Sigurd, Crusader With tales to be told The way to the East Paved with blood and gold By the mouth of the westernmost river There lay a fortress of infidel men And there Sigurd saw arches of stone With white pillars, timeworn by then Sigurd, Crusader With tales to be told The way to the East Paved with blood and gold The fortress was left behind Onward they sailed, the brave and bold But there, at the end of the Earth, There once stood a temple at times of old...

Night was coming to its end As our prow ploughed the sea On to the end of the Earth We sailed untamed and free Millennia ago before the night has died I'd walk down to the stone And see the temple rising high Temple of the Sun At the end of the Earth The cycle never ends Of life, death and rebirth Wild waves would whip the wharf And dark and jagged tusks I longed to stay and watch the sky For a thousand dawns and dusks White altars shining bright Under celestial light The priests would charge the price Victims for the sacrifice Temple of the Moon At the end of the Earth May we travel safe When our vessel leaves its berth Far away we shall sail For the glory of Rome May the gods give us strength And take us safely home Millennia ago before the night has died I'd walk down to the stone And see the temple rising high Temple of the Sea At the end of the Earth By the Ocean that defies Our courage and our worth Temple of the gods Now lost under the sand I'll see your pillars still For the end is not the end
