A murmur on a wind so chill In death's embrace the air grows still I long in dreams for times gone past In valley deep, a forlorn grasp In favour of the one who's true Is still the night I long for you It's in this tale it all began I longed for you, a heart that sang In sleep I saw a travelling man With harp in hand, he played a song Of sorrow deep within this land I saw what was, and still at hand For all the time I laid awake In desperate times, left in the wake It all comes clear at journey's end That all that was shall be again So here I sit and wonder why? Does the land still suffer and Earth still die? It seems to be clear to the eye But Man is blind to his own demise What Man has sown, so Man shall reap For good or ill, it's his to keep The past and future are as one What's been before is yet to come

Hide behind a masquerade, A total normal life charade. Playing the character, playing the game, Day in day out you act the same. You are your own percepted self, You hide the beast (your shadow self) Strengthened by the social mind, The laws of beasts called human kind. In others you may see its face, Projecting you, your own disgrace. Not until you face the beast, Will you be free to be... The world as you've been taught to see, Fades into obscurity. The awakening of the world beyond, Will free you from your mind.
As silence deepens So do my thoughts Yearning your touch I reach out, to find that you are there but cold, growing colder, nights get longer Sleep's embrace also escapes me, I flail Trapped in a limbo, a creation of my own thoughts and feelings, but they grow stronger A passion begging for release. I'm like a tap left running With no vessel there to contain my being. A grief that I feel for what I may never hold (close) The sacred chalice my salvation Within sight out of reach An instrument awaiting the touch that will bring forth song A beautiful melody awaiting release from the confines of my strings In vain or not I await Till this day, in hope I long for this golden song, this chalice to receive my passionate water before I run dry.
