Was there ever a time you were there for me? was it too much to know that you cared you were lost inside I know that now but sometimes I still feel like that child lost in life, alone inside my head Through the screams that splinter me inside I've lost count of all the dreams that died but I'm stronger now or so I say and although I love you its hard not to blame for the boy that's lost inside the man is it hard to know my pain mirror's your own? How was I supposed to know life was never grey with the weight of this sadness on me everyday never felt your embrace, soothe me through my tears not a reassuring word, to guide me through my fears and it breaks my heart to see you cry but I disconnected long ago when I died inside was I ever that child in those fragile arms?
