As we appease the wounded Shame is flickering in our fraudulent eyes And all the dreams Traces remain confined in the right light What did we know As bells tolled over open ground What did we know The borderlines; faint veins (of eyes) that align With worlds that collide We turn spherical as we fall As we’re taken in behind the veil Pulled between competing stories Such fluid tongues The traces of the lost and the unborn Leading on to oblivion planes Lend weight to our indifferent yawn And swim towards the open Hear the silent rain on memorial stones Infants of the afterlife Ocean cold in our eyes Callous growth in our hearts Through shrouds of guilt Minerals stare like hostile suns And light glooms over the souls Defeated on the beaches And they swirled away Into the dark How did they plunge through the breaches In such a detached sunlight As we caress the fallen Eyes muted and turned inwards And we gather the bones And we hover through the insects And the ground is soft and open And there’s steel left to delight And our hearts beckon As all the words have clicked shut Hear the silent rain on memorial stones Infants of the afterlife Ocean cold in our eyes Callous growth in our hearts Through shrouds of guilt Minerals stare like hostile suns

Where the half-light flings You with the pineal eye Your face hovering just above your head And the clock that carries its worst hour Is as light as a dead bird And the rumors are swirling around the gallows Like satellites of rude will They flash and they curse Like stubborn old laws In the aluminum scented night Rogue fossil Dancing down the dawn Rogue fossil Gathering in the basin of a shadow A binge of stodgy lights And arbitrary souls are shoveling Among remains of dead celebrations Forged colored dawns Digging graves in the breezes The half-light contorted Clinched fingers clasp the blind shovels We will scrape the sounds away Rogue fossil Dancing down the dawn Rogue fossil Withering in the absence of old tongues And the rank, narrow hedges The howling blows through the weeds The bells of the centuries chime Through trees and hungry hands See the hand on your shoulder, still The nails are still growing Rogue fossil Dancing down the dawn Rogue fossil

I saw you in the deep sea mirrors Heard your voice from above the water There was cold air streaming ‘round my neck It’s dark in the womb, and the bottles are empty I’m in a chasm while you descend to the ocean floor I’m adrift while you drink my dreams under And it snows on the lead-grey ocean While you’re dripping into orbit I’m a calm measured flame And I’ll beat the muted drum Enter the sinking ship, and wear it ‘till it’s gone Walking fluid towards the shore From the great unknown Mind and bone, badly jointed Remnants of our animal past

Clever eyes on a dead face Wedged in between frozen mirrors You, irrational sharlatan Locked on to the wrong beacon Chased through the dark garden The height of the trees Mirroring his absence The fields are plowed with his teeth He lies scorned beneath It’s all beyond Like unearthed tunes In a vertigo swirl Riffling through the mound Cascading through the ages The lamp flies over Those nine things on the table It’s all beyond Like unearthed tunes In a vertigo swirl

Near the chasm by the corner Where the void shines ever clear A missing piece of my soul Scorned and ever near Bleeding through the dull canvases Eddying eyes as time it passes The slow light This flare conceives a wicked will Truth governed by shallow woes A surge of echoes blinded by the snow Drifting through my mind Like a phonetic wound Tear open the rusty ground Let remembrance scour through the mound Backwards howling, rushing through You without a sound Feel the pinch of my aging fingers Mosaic heart, how nothing lingers Cast me into vapor, leave no trace behind And what was severed, joins up again Widening trail grows ever wider See me through, the memento collider Scouring deep, I’m a gravity seeker Widening trail grows ever wider Flying high recollection divider Tightening veil grows ever tighter Scouring deep, I’m a gravity seeker Widening trail grows ever wider Flying high recollection divider Tightening veil grows ever tighter Plunging down I’m a gravity seeker Scouring deep, the memento collider

Carried home by a wayward nature Racing through the dark Forging a path through the dense Melting into the texture like some empty And last thing Stone open up And let the grain in Phantom oil slick By the floodlights at the edge of the world Phantom oil slick Anoints the dark
