A Gaze Blank and Pitiless as the Sun

You were always dearest to me
Your silvery eyes and divine skin
Paved the streets in the palace of my dreams
The feast is in the hall
Take my hand and walk with me
I'll make you shine like jewerly
Carved from scorched flesh

Beneath arched vaults of ancient masonry
Cloaked in red silk over black garments
We lavish our bodies with wine
Our voices joined in chants of euphoria
As we dine to the bellowing of the brazen bull

I feel the menace flowing towards me in repeated nightmares
Like bloodstreams gushing through ghastly hallways
This surreal environment torches the imagination
And there is no way of knowing what is real and what will scorch you
The mind is a machinery that molds the deep internal compartments that hold your sanity
Where branches grow high and roots gros deep

All that which has branched of this state of mind
Is decadent, putrid and alive

I lose no opportunity in subverting construction of bonds
I lower myself to a safer ground, where the seasons cannot change anything around me
My skin is tanslucent you can follow my veins through flesh
And see those crooked bones fracture by a soft spoken word
I might never see me again

I hold smashed mirrors up to my face, wrench yokes around my neck
I read sermons of devils in pouring pain, quench my thirst for venomous wine
Mourish the ground with black stones, they all weigh down
Where nothing grows nothing dies, where nothing dies nothing lives

Minos sparkle, thoughts scintillate
Piercing through beauty, awestruck
God is found here, raving mad by his creation

I like to touch the air, to feel the ground, shackled to a stone
I see sparkles of light all around, the mindset is warped
In every phosphorous ray a truth lies, ravenous black predators
A searing pain with no end, devourers of reasoning

Minos sparkle, thoughts scintillate
Piercing through beauty, awestruck
God is found here, raving mad by his creation

You stand tall, watching the crowd, which hails you
You marvel at the great reception as they call out your name
Loyal supports vow their allegiance in awe
The deafening echo roars the sky like thunder

You stand in a circle and hold your speech
You are admired and feared
Enemies and allies kept close
They are fearful and jealous
The new masterplan of yours
Enrolled in blood, written in betrayal
Another scheme steps into the fray
As an explosion of stab wounds

I have memories of patricide
Of human torches enlightening an amazed crowd
Of grim riddles of matricide
A succession of thronerooms inhabited by mortal gods
Fathers and wild beasts
So proud and alike so vengeful and diverse

Your blood runs thick through the tiles
Assassination by conspiracy
Tall by stance while watching your hands
Holding the ruin of an empire
Knowledge passed on from ancestor to successor
Changing nothing in the process
You have followed the path of your ancestors

We are with you or against you

A broken figure, chained to the wall
Awakes to the sound of footdteps ascending the stairs
She walks up the stairs with heavy keys in hand
And unlocks the door to that sombre chamber
The bones she breaks
The skin she peels
The flesh she stitches together
Is my humble creation
A cadaver once came back to life
A screeching lump of flesh
With eyes wired shut
And entrails suspended from the ceiling
I hold the strings that guide her hand
And the words that mock sheer, sheer suffering
And as a broken body, staggers away
From the hammers I hold in my hand
I laugh uncontrollably at the poor bastard
He lies in the corner under cadavers of former brothers
And I start pounding away at bludgeoned flesh
I never grow tired of the pleading
The pain is real, as is all true art

Illusion and reality entwine as days stretch forever
I royal through an existence of inescapable decadence
All paths lack direction
And something vile stirs the ground that I walk on

Your stature and dreams are repulsive
And to be a part of this is my most loathed sickness

What feeds my hate is the screaming of those from below
I opened the gates and murdered my innocence

To follow the flight of thoughts in my dreams
Here lies the image which haunts me

In these dreams where consequence forms the mural
That breathes nightmares

A panorama unfolds as the ground cracks open
And subterranean halls are exposed to the light :
A sea of workers that toil restlessly below the surface
Embedded in steam, vomiting from exhaustion

Crashed beside the trainwrecks in cold heaps of rubble
Here lie the strange foundations of a home that once was mine
Immersed in wild growth, the known shapes are distant
My roots are submerged un dead soil, cut off like debris of a bygone time
The pains are immense, growing in strength
In glimpses some light penetrates the cracks of a shattered half living body
Sheeted in cloth, alone, night is a long time, the weight on eyelids unbearable
Some said their prayers and some sat so still
The light penetrates the cracks here might leave this place at any time
Clothed in silk, alone and gone, cold skin
Bright light forces its way through the mist
The rays increase with the descendance of slowing heartbeats
The silence becomes a doorway to infinity
Row from shore to shore, through stormy waves we fare
Guided by a shadowed figure in ropes
No facial features remain but the reflection of silvery coins as eyes
One hundred days and nights in this wretched sea surrounded by cold dead hands
Row, on the river, we fear the unknown
A figure watches with maniacal laughter
Fear as we arrive to uncovered land
I watch demons shout out curses from the hillside on another shore darker than this
And as I turn my back to the sea I can only move forward, leaving behind all memories
I feel a strange sensation of burdens suddeny lifted
As if I left my body there on the beach resting forever
While vultures in unison dive in for their prey
A ship sets a sail of fire, faring its way slowly but steady towards the horizon
The circling pit of birds become one as an arrow in the sky
